RedHawks Wrap Up Regular Season in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The RedHawks traveled to Indiana University this weekend to compete in the Billy Hayes Invitational, the last meet of the Miami Track and Field regular season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks head to DeKalb, Ill. next weekend (May 9-11) to start the postseason with the MAC Outdoor Championships.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field for the women, Ella Scally (6.13 meters) and Chloe Rickson (5.96 meters) finished in second and third place in the women's long jump event, respectively. Rickson set a new PR and beat her previous record by .30 meters. This distance also puts Rickson at fifth place in program history. Ella Rigel finished in fourth place in the women's hammer event with 60.58 meters. In the women's javelin throw, Jessica Rhodes finished in 10th place with 28.08 meters. Ella Garvin (1.60 meters) and Maddie Sisler (1.60 meters) tied for eighth place in the women's high jump event. In the women's discus throw event, Santornya Ralliford (45.45 meters) and Rhodes (42.45 meters) finished in eighth and 10th place, respectively.
- For the women, Kayla Walters finished in fifth place in the women's 100-meter hurdle prelims with a time of 14.29 seconds. In the finals, Walters finished in fifth place with a time of 14.33 seconds. In the women's 100-meter prelims, Camryn Dunn (11.95 seconds) and Scally (11.96 seconds) finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively. In the finals, Scally and Dunn tied for fourth place with a time of 12.18 seconds. In the women's 4x100-meter relay, the team of Dunn, Abby Suszek, Scally, and Lucca Agate finished in second place with a time of 45.62 seconds. In the women's 400-meter dash, Suszek (55.21 seconds) and Agate (55.97 seconds) finished in second and third place, respectively. Erin Connors finished in eighth place in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.06. In the women's 200-meter dash, Dunn and Agate tied for sixth place with a time of 24.73 seconds. Scally also ran in the 200-meter dash, and she finished in eighth place with a time of 24.81 seconds. The 4x400 meter-relay "A" team of Nora Zubillaga, Eve Traficanti, Avery Emerson, and Gretchen Feldkamp finished in third place with a time of 4:01.07.
- For the women, Zubillaga (2:12.75) and Traficanti (2:12.93) finished in sixth and seventh place in the women's 800-meter run. In the women's 1500-meter run, Jenna Sayle finished in ninth place with a time of 4:26.24.
- On the field for the men, CJ Johnson Jr. finished in fifth place in the men's javelin event with 48.54 meters. Micah Schuster also competed in the javelin throw, and he finished in 10th place with 40.24 meters. In the men's shot put event, Reilly Worthington finished in ninth place with 15.69 meters. Adam Smith finished in 10th place in the men's discus throw with 48.21 meters.
- For the men, Julian Wagner (10.68 seconds) and Jayson Harrison (10.82 seconds) finished in fifth and eighth place in the men's 100-meter prelims, qualifying for the finals. In the finals, Wagner finished in fourth place with a time of 10.70 seconds. In the men's 400-meter dash, Schuster (48.45 seconds) and Joey Valeski (48.52 seconds) finished in third and fifth place, respectively. In the men's 4x100-meter relay, the team of Harrison, Remy Schulz, Valeski, and Wagner finshed in third place with a time of 41.30 seconds. In the men's 110-meter hurdles, Eman Alfred (14.77 seconds) and Josh Mikulka (18.46 seconds) finished in fourth and eighth place. Jaxson Tober finished in eighth place in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.54 seconds. In the men's 200-meter dash, Leo Bouldin (21.55 seconds) and Harrison (21.75 seconds) finished in fifth and eighth place, respectively. The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Alfred, Christopher Wright-Goss, JD Leverette, and Tober finished in fourth place with a time of 3:23.87.
- For the men, Mhalicki Bronson (8:18.13) and Anton Martinez (8:36.44) ran unattached in the 3000-meter run, and finished in third and sixth place, respectively. In the men's 1500-meter run, Chris Perkins (3:53.63) and Will Goodrich (3:55.45) finished in sixth and eighth place, respectively. In the men's 800-meter invitational, Anthony Vlatko finished in eighth place with a time of 1:53.82. Petros Sanchez Ropero (9:26.86) and Weston Naville (10:09.74) finished in fourth and ninth place in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
