MAC Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll Released

CLEVELAND-- The Mid-American Conference released its preseason coaches poll for men's and women's cross country this morning. The Miami men were ranked second out of 10 programs and the RedHawk women were ranked sixth out of 12 programs.

The men received 72 votes, including a first place vote, coming in 12 points ahead of Akron and trailing only Toledo. The women's poll gave the Miami women 75 points, checking in one point above UMass.

The RedHawks are set to kick off their season at home next Friday, September 4 for the annual RedHawk Rumble. The men run at 9 a.m. with the women to follow at 9:40 a.m.
