The RedHawks come in at 0-0-2 after a pair of ties at Ferris State (3-3 Friday and 4-4 Saturday). UAA is 0-2-0 after getting swept at home by defending national champion Denver last weekend (6-2 Sat., 4-1 Sun.).
This weekend's games are set for Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12, with puck drop at 7:05 p.m. both nights. The games will be broadcast on NCHC.tv, with Friday's radio broadcast streaming on MiamiRedHawks.com and Saturday's on WMOH 1450 AM The Ticket (Hamilton, Ohio). The Seawolves lead the all-time series 3-0, with all three meetings coming in the 1986-87 season. Alaska Anchorage won the three contests by scores of 2-1, 4-3 and 8-5 respectively.
A trio of newcomers leads the RedHawks in points with three apiece (
Colby Ambrosio,
Matt Choupani,
Conner Hutchison). Choupani has a team-high three assists.
Blake Mesenburg has two goals to pace the RedHawks.
Bruno Bruveris (2.77 GAA, .919 save %) and
Ethan Dahlmeir (3.69, .852%) each got a start last week in net.
Hutchison and head coach
Anthony Noreen met with the media this week to preview the matchup against the Seawolves.
