Yegor Yegorov made his collegiate debut and made 20 saves for the Red and White.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- 6:31 1st (Miami 1-0) | For the second game in a row, Morozov gave Miami an early lead over the Colonials. Doug Grimes forced an errant clear attempt by the hosts that Branko Vukas intercepted, and Morozov quickly fired a tough shot through traffic from the blue line to put the Red and White ahead 1-0.
- 8:42 1st (Robert Morris 1-1) | The Colonials answered back just over two minutes later to tie things up. Charlie Kinsman let loose with a shot from the right point that Patrick Johnson tipped in front and the puck managed to bounce past Yegorov. Dario Beljo added an assist on the play for RMU.
- 16:21 1st (Miami 2-1) | Morozov lit the lamp late in the period during a 4-on-3 power play to give Miami the lead for good. Matouš Kucharcík sent a pass across the zone to Giampa, who ripped a shot that led to a rebound for Morozov to knock home near the goalpost.
- 15:23 2nd (Miami 3-1) | Miami struck again on the power play in the middle stanza, as Kocha Delic knocked the puck free to David Helledy and Helledy teed Giampa up for a blasted one-timer to make it 3-1.
- 19:55 3rd (Robert Morris 3-2) | After the visitors killed off an extra-attacker power play down the stretch to maintain their lead, Robert Morris scored in the game's closing seconds to account for the final margin. Gavin Ewles came up with the close-range goal off assists from Bruce McDonald and Jackson Reineke, but Miami held on from there to secure a road victory.
