Barbolini Among Nominees for Hobey Baker Award; Fan Voting Open Now

ST. PAUL, Minn.— Miami senior forward Matthew Barbolini is one of 84 student-athletes nationally up for the prestigious Hobey Baker Award, given annually to the most outstanding player in college hockey.
Fan voting is underway now at hobeybaker.com/vote and will run until Sunday, March 10 at midnight. Phase two of fan balloting will come from the list of Top Ten Hobey Baker finalists beginning March 20 and closing March 31. The fans' vote accounts for a percentage of the total ballot in each phase in selecting this year's award recipient.
Barbolini is averaging a point per game for the RedHawks this year, putting up nine goals and 12 assists with a +7 rating in 21 appearances before missing the past three games due to injury.
The 2024 Hobey Baker Award winner will be announced from a field of three Hobey Hat Trick finalists on Friday, April 7 during the NCAA Frozen Four Championship in St. Paul. The award ceremony will be broadcast nationally on NHL Network and streamed live at hobeybaker.com.
