RedHawks Dominate in Game Three Against Siena

OXFORD, Ohio--Â The Miami University baseball team picked up a win against Siena College by the score of 10-3 in Sunday afternoon's series finale. The RedHawks improve to 2-9 while the Saints drop to 2-10.
The RedHawks had everything click for an all-around quality game. Ryland Zaborowski, Cooper Weiss and Evan Appelwick each hit home runs in Miami's dominant performance.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â

Kicking off the offense early, Appelwick led off the first inning by reaching base via walk. aborowski followed with a single to left center. Zach MacDonald received the second walk of the inning to load the bases. With the sacks jammed, Parker Lester hit a base clearing double to score three and put Miami up 3-0 in the bottom of the first.Â

In the bottom of the second, Cristian Tejada walked with one out. Appelwick made the most of the walk by driving one out of the park, making it 5-0 Miami.

In the bottom of the fourth, David Novak led off the inning by reaching base due to being hit by pitch. With two outs in the inning, Benji Brokemond doubled to score Novak. Zaborowski followed up with a two-run blast to center field to make it 8-1 RedHawks, after four innings of work.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Brian Zapp reached base via walk. Weiss drove him in with a two-run home run to left field, making it 10-3 Redhawks for the final score.
