THIS WEEK: Miami returns home to host a trio of matches this week, beginning with a 7 p.m. contest against Bowling Green on Wednesday, Oct. 20. The RedHawks then entertain Central Michigan in a two-match weekend series, facing the Chippewas at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23.
ABOUT BGSU & THE SERIES WITH THE FALCONS: Bowling Green enters the week with a 12-6 record and an 8-0 MAC mark and has won nine-straight matches. Miami is 52-35 against the Falcon, but BGSU has won the last four matches in the series, which were all played at Bowling Green, including a hard-fought, five-set battle in the MAC Tournament semifinal on April 2, 2021. Miami took the last meeting between the teams in Oxford on Oct. 10, 2019, 3-0. BGSU's last win in Oxford was on Nov. 1, 2018, 3-0.
ABOUT CMU & THE SERIES WITH THE CHIPPEWAS: Central Michigan enters the week with an 8-12 record and a 2-6 MAC mark. The Chippewas have lost their last three matches and play at Eastern Michigan on Wednesday. Miami is 38-25-1 when facing CMU and has won the last eight meetings between the teams, including a 3-2 win in Mount Pleasant in the last meeting on Mar. 27, 2020. The last time the teams met in Oxford, Miami notched a five-set win on Oct. 20, 2019. CMU's last win in the series was in four sets on Oct. 18, 2013.
TELEVISION: Miami's match against Bowling Green will be streamed on ESPN+, while both matches against Central Michigan will be streamed on MiamiRedHawks.com.

HARPER JOINS 1,000 DIG CLUB: Senior
Gaby Harper recorded her 1,000th career dig against Western Michigan on Oct. 8. She became the 18th player in program history to reach 1,000 career digs and currently owns 1,051. Harper also owns 921 career kills entering the week.
ODDS 'N ENDS:
- Senior Gaby Harper has played in 99 career matches and is poised to eclipse the 100-match mark this week.
- Sophomore Taylor Nomanson ranks eighth among MAC leaders in service aces (0.32 per set). Nomanson leads Miami with 13 service aces this season. Freshman Brooke Cirigliano ranks 10th in the MAC in hitting percentage in conference matches, hitting .303.
- Senior Gaby Harper has produced eight kill/dig double-doubles this season, including each of Miami's last four matches. Senior Sophie Riemersma has five kill/dig double-doubles, including MU's last two matches.
- Freshman Brooke Cirigliano leads Miami with 56 blocks this season and has recorded at least one block in each of the RedHawks' 18 matches. She has posted 14 multi-block matches, including two six-block efforts against Howard on Sept. 4 and Northern Illinois on Oct. 9.
- Miami boasts seven newcomers on its 2021 roster, comprising 41% of the MU roster.
ECLIPSING 750 CAREER WINS: With a 3-0 win versus Buffalo on Jan. 22, 2021, Miami head coach
Carolyn Condit posted her 750th career win. Condit owns a 765-581 career record entering her 42nd season as a head coach. Condit's 764 total victories are tied for eighth among active NCAA Division I coaches, and tied for 24th all-time. Owning more victories than any coach in the history of the Miami Athletic Department, Condit holds a 666-503 record and is in her 38th season in charge of the Red and White. Condit is the only volleyball coach in the history of the Mid-American Conference to win over 300 league matches, holding a conference mark of 367-223.
