The RedHawks announced their remaining nine competition dates for the 2020-21 season.
OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University head hockey coach Chris Bergeron has revealed the rest of the RedHawks' 2020-21 schedule with the announcement of their non-conference slate on Wednesday.
Miami's non-conference schedule includes four home dates at Steve 'Coach' Cady Arena, all of which come in October. MU takes to the ice for its first competition on Oct. 3 when it hosts the USA National Team Development Program for an exhibition tilt.
Two weeks after the USANTDP exhibition clash, the RedHawks officially begin their 2020-21 campaign with an Oct. 16-17 home series against former Central Collegiate Hockey Association foe Michigan State in the program's first meeting since the conference realignment that followed the 2012-13 season. The October schedule then wraps up with a home-and-home series with in-state rival Bowling Green on Oct. 23-24, with Miami hosting the Oct. 24 contest.
After three weeks of National Collegiate Hockey Conference play, the Red & White spend Thanksgiving weekend on an East Coast swing as they take on Hockey East members UMass Lowell and Merrimack in single games on Nov. 27 and 28, respectively.
The second half of the season begins with the final non-conference games of the RedHawks' slate as they are scheduled to compete in the Ledyard Classic (hosted by Dartmouth). While the tournament is slotted for Jan. 2-3, the opponents and game times are not known at this time. Start times will be available at a later date and fans are reminded that the schedule is still subject to change.
