Oxford, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball team dropped its Mid-American Conference opener to the University at Buffalo, 90-62 on Tuesday night.
Isaiah Coleman-Lands led Miami with 12 points. The loss drops Miami to 3-2 overall while the Bulls improve to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in MAC play.
How it Happened:
- Buffalo used an early rebounding advantage to race out to a 17-10 lead with 11:14 to play in the first half.Â
- The Bulls continued their hot shooting and went to the locker room with a 47-28 lead after 20 minutes of play.
- Buffalo outscored Miami 43-34 in the second half.
Game Notes:
- Jackson Ames recorded his career bucket late in the first half and Luka Eller converted a layup with six minutes to play in the second half. Both players finished the game with four points.
- James Beck went 4-for-4 from the foul line.
- Mekhi Lairy remains perfect (21-for-21) from the free-throw line in 2020-21.
