MAC ANNOUNCES OPERATIONAL PLANS FOR SELECT SPORTS
The Mid-American Conference announced operational plans for select sports last Monday. The plan includes volleyball, soccer, field hockey and swimming & diving. Competition is slated to start Nov. 5 for swimming & diving, Jan. 22 for volleyball, March 4 for soccer and March 12 for field hockey.Â

NCHC PLAY TO BEGIN DECEMBER 1
The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) has finalized its plans for the 2020-21 season. The 26-game conference schedule and two-part format includes utilizing a centralized location ("Pod") for all NCHC games to start the season. The Conference will begin play on Tuesday, Dec. 1 in the Pod, which will take place in Omaha, Nebraska, where the University of Nebraska Omaha's Baxter Arena will host all eight NCHC teams and includes 10 games per team. The second portion of the conference slate will begin in the New Year and take place in all home NCHC venues.Â

MEN'S & WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOLD FIRST PRACTICES
The Miami University men's and women's basketball programs got their 2020-21 campaigns underway Thursday with the first official practices of the season for each team. Head coaches Jack Owens and DeUnna Hendrix sat down virtually with Steve Baker to talk about the teams' first practices.Â
