Miami Football to Hold Annual Spring Showcase April 25
Miami Football will hold its annual Spring Showcase, presented by Raising Cane's and Reputable Roofing, on Saturday, April 25 at the Dauch Indoor Sports Center. The RedHawks will hold an open practice beginning at 11:30 a.m. The day also includes the annual equipment sale, concessions food truck and more.

Steele Named 2026 John McLendon National Coach of Year
Last week, College Insider announced Miami's Travis Steele as the recipient of the 2026 John McLendon National Coach of the Year award. This award is presented annually to the top head coach among all levels of college basketball (DI, DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO). In Steele's fourth year, he put together one of the most exceptional seasons in program history as the RedHawks became just the fifth program this century (NCAA Division I) to go undefeated during regular-season play.Â

Noreen Signs Contract Extension
Miami University Director of Athletics David Sayler announced that Anthony Noreen has agreed to a contract extension to continue leading Miami Hockey through the 2031-32 season. Noreen oversaw a historic turnaround in his second season at the helm, as Miami jumped from three wins in his first year to an 18-16-2 mark in 2025-26.Â

Miami Baseball faces local rival Cincinnati in a neutral-site game at Prasco Park Wednesday before hosting Ohio in a three-game weekend series. Game times against the Bobcats are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The RedHawk bats were hot as Miami pounded out 52 runs over four games last week, sweeping a three-game series, including two run-rule wins, with Ball State after being edged at No. 22 Kentucky.
Miami Softball hosts Ohio in a three-game, mid-week series with a single game Tuesday at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader Wednesday at 1 p.m. The team will travel to Toledo for a three-game Saturday/Sunday series. The RedHawks went 2-1 at Buffalo last weekend and were edged 1-0 by Kentucky.
Miami Tennis pulled out a 4-3 win against Northern Illinois last Friday. The RedHawks host Dayton at 12 p.m. this Friday and Eastern Michigan at 12 p.m. this Sunday.
Miami Track & Field had a strong showing at the Oliver Nikoloff Invite in Cincinnati, sweeping first place in both the men's and women's javelin events last weekend. The RedHawks head to the Ball State We Can Fly Challenge this Friday and Saturday.
Miami Golf is competing in the Calusa Cup in Naples, Fla., Apr. 5-7 and has individuals competing in The Jewell in Batavia, Ohio this Monday and Tuesday. The team will compete in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate April 11-12 in Columbus, Ohio, and will have individuals competing in the Bridgeport Collegiate Invitational in Morgantown, W.Va., April 13. Â
Miami Women's Swimming & Diving landed a conference-leading 21 individuals on the Academic All-MAC team.
Miami Women's Basketball had five players named to the Academic All-MAC team.
Miami Men's Basketball's Peter Suder competed in the 2026 NABC-Reese's Division I College All-Star Game in Indianapolis last Friday. Additionally, two RedHawks were named to the Academic All-MAC team.
