OXFORD, Ohio - For the second straight week, the Miami University track and field team will embark on a big split-squad weekend, with runners heading to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia as well as up the road to Columbus for the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State.
PENN RELAYS
The weekend will mark the 125th edition of the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. The RedHawks will send three women's entrants and eight on the men's side of the meet, which will kick off Thursday.
On Thursday, Sarah Bruns will kick things off in the 400m hurdles at 10 a.m. She will then join Olivia Bechtel, Kalliopi Kountouri, and Emily Hooker for the 4x400 relay later that day. The men have a busy day, starting with Aaron Muresan in the 400m hurdles at 9:00 a.m. Kenny Glenn will have his go at the long jump that afternoon, and Muresan will return for the 110m hurdles. That evening, Muresan will join Sean Torpy, Anthony Camerieri, and Mitchell Towne for the distance medley.
