
Miami Ends Marquette Intercollegiate in 10th

HARTFORD, Wis. – The Miami University golf team shot a three-under par 285 in the final round of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills. Miami ended the tournament in 10th at 17-over par. The team champion was Purdue at nine-under par.
Leading the RedHawks and finishing tied for 30th at five-over par was junior Charlie Nikitas and freshman Danny Fisher. Nikitas shot a one-under par final round of 71 while Fisher's three-under par 69 was his best round of the season.
Junior Jack Mortell finished one stroke behind in a tie for 35th at six-over par following a round of 76. Redshirt sophomore Jack Herceg shot a one-over par round to finish tied for 40th at seven-over par.
Shooting an even par 72 and finishing tied for 53rd was senior Jack Katarincic. Senior Cam Solomon shot a 76 in the final round and ended the tournament tied for 68th.
Miami's next tournament will be the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational October 20-21 in Vero Beach, Florida.
