Miami Hosts Central Michigan For Senior/Alumnae Day

The RedHawks close the regular season with a MAC game at home on Saturday at 11 a.m.

OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team (10-7, 4-1 MAC) closes the regular season with a home conference matchup against Central Michigan on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The game will honor the senior class and welcome back alumnae. All senior day activities will take place after the game.

Last weekend, Miami won both of its games in a shootout. On Friday, the RedHawks won a crucial MAC game at Ohio. Lexie Nugent tied the game with three minutes to play in regulation and Marie Gorner and Lilly Petersen capitalized during the shootout. Isabelle Perese stopped four of the five shots she faced in the shootout. On Sunday, Miami beat UC Davis at home with Neely Lochmoeller scoring the RedHawks' regulation goal. Gorner had the difference maker in the shootout in the sixth round as Perese stopped the Aggies final shot attempt. Perese was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week.

The UC Davis win marked Iñako Puzo's 100th career win at Miami as he's compiled a 100-86 record in his time in Oxford.

Puzo and senior back Kirsten McNeil spoke with MiamiRedHawks.com about last week's contests as well as senior/alumnae day and wrapping up the season with Central Michigan.
