OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team (10-7, 4-1 MAC) closes the regular season with a home conference matchup against Central Michigan on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The game will honor the senior class and welcome back alumnae. All senior day activities will take place after the game.
Last weekend, Miami won both of its games in a shootout. On Friday, the RedHawks won a crucial MAC game at Ohio.
Lexie Nugent tied the game with three minutes to play in regulation and Marie Gorner and
Lilly Petersen capitalized during the shootout.
Isabelle Perese stopped four of the five shots she faced in the shootout. On Sunday, Miami beat UC Davis at home with
Neely Lochmoeller scoring the RedHawks' regulation goal. Gorner had the difference maker in the shootout in the sixth round as Perese stopped the Aggies final shot attempt. Perese was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week.
The UC Davis win marked Iñako Puzo's 100
th career win at Miami as he's compiled a 100-86 record in his time in Oxford.

ABOUT CENTRAL MICHIGAN: The Chippewas sit at 2-15 this season and have a 0-5 mark in conference games after being the only team in the conference to start the year 2-0 in opening weekend play. Last weekend, Central Michigan faced two Big Ten opponents, falling to Indiana by a 3-2 margin on Friday before being shutout by Michigan State 3-0 on Sunday. Freshman midfielder Alice O'Hagan leads the Chippewa offense with six goals and 14 total points.
SERIES WITH CENTRAL MICHIGAN: Miami holds a 41-28 overall advantage in the all-time series against Central Michigan. The RedHawks have won each of the last four meetings, shutting out the Chippewas 5-0 last season. Nugent and
