OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team (8-7, 3-1 MAC) concludes the regular-season road schedule on Friday with a conference matchup at Ohio at 1 p.m. before returning to Oxford to host UC Davis on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Last week, the RedHawks beat Longwood by a 4-2 margin in the cancer awareness game to improve to 3-1 in MAC games this season.
Leonor Berlie scored twice, including the game-winning goal and on the first penalty stroke attempt of the season.

Isabelle Perese made four stops as Miami outshot Longwood 10-7 in the contest. Berlie and Marie Görner were named MAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

ABOUT OHIO: The Bobcats (8-5, 4-1 MAC) are coming off of a perfect 2-0 weekend, shutting out Ball State 3-0 before beating Indiana 2-1. Ohio is on a three-game win streak, started with a 6-1 win over Central Michigan. The Bobcats' lone conference loss was by a 5-1 margin at Kent State. Red-shirt senior midfielder Kendall Ballard leads Ohio's offense with seven goals and five assists for 19 total points while red-shirt junior goalkeeper Sophia Boothby spends most of the time in the cage.
SERIES WITH OHIO: Miami owns a 42-34 lead in the all-time series against Ohio and has won the last seven meetings. In 2018, the RedHawks shutout the Bobcats 5-0 in the final game of the regular season before winning by the same margin in the MAC Tournament semifinals. In the regular-season matchup,

ABOUT UC DAVIS: The Aggies (6-7, 0-2 America East) fell in both conference games last weekend, falling 3-2 in overtime against California before dropping a 3-1 decision against No. 18 Stanford. UC Davis travels to Ohio on Saturday before wrapping up non-conference play against Miami Sunday. Senior forward Tatiana Arias leads the UC Davis offense with two goals, two assists and six points. Senior goalkeeper Chelsea Bigelow has played every minute in the cage this season, boasting a 1.28 GAA and five shutouts.
