DAYTON, Ohio – The Miami University volleyball team travels to Dayton for a midweek match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The contest will air live on ESPN+.

The Flyers are 4-2 on the season. They went 1-2 last weekend at the Kentucky Bluegrass Battle. On Friday, Dayton dropped a heartbreaking, 2-3, decision to Kansas and was then swept by 16th-ranked Kentucky on Friday. It rebounded to knock off College of Charleston, 3-1, on Saturday. The Flyers are led by senior outside hitter Lauren Bruns. She has 92 kills, an average of 4.00 per set. Dayton is a strong blocking team, averaging 2.61 blocks per set.
Miami holds a 13-12 lead in the all-time series with Dayton. The Flyers have won the last four meetings however. That includes a five-set classic in Oxford last season on Sept. 5 that the RedHawks dropped 2-3 (23-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-20, 8-15). Miami won sets three and four after losing the first two sets, but Dayton built an early lead in set five that allowed it to secure the win. Kukoc led the 'Hawks with a double-double of 15 kills and 13 assists in that contest.
Miami travels to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Holiday Inn-University Plaza Invitational this weekend. On Friday the Red and White will take on Chattanooga at 4:30 p.m. (EDT). On Saturday, Miami opens with Notre Dame at 10:30 a.m. (EDT) and concludes the event against host Western Kentucky at 3:30 p.m. (EDT).
