RICHMOND, Va. - A great day at the plate helped the Miami University baseball team cruise to a 14-7 victory over Richmond Friday evening. The win moves Miami's record to 7-9 on the season, while Richmond falls to 11-8.
The Spiders got the scoring started in their first chance at the plate, scoring on a fielder's choice. After one, Richmond held a slim 1-0 edge.
