Attended Defiance High School, where he was on the honor roll all four years lettered twice in baseball also played football and basketball for two years 2015: 7-1, 1.02 ERA, 62 IP, 9 ER, 66 K, 23 BB, First Team All-District, Second Team All-WBL, Mizuno All-Ohio team, and Second Team All-State, Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mention and Perfect Game All-Region helped lead team to win at 2015 Sectionals, Districts, Regionals and the State Championship also helped team to a 2014 Sectional Championship ... prep coach was Tom Held Club team: Napoleon River Bandits.
