Joyaux Signs ATO Contract with AHL's St. John's IceCaps

OXFORD, Ohio - Senior defenseman Chris Joyaux (Bloomingdale, Ill./Chicago (USHL)) from the Miami hockey team is about to lace up his skates in the professional ranks.
Joyaux signed a 25-game Amateur Tryout contract with the St. John's IceCaps on Wednesday. The IceCaps serve as the Montreal Canadiens' American Hockey League affiliate. Joyaux is expected to join the IceCaps in Toronto on Thursday.
The Bloomingdale, Ill., native suited up for 148 games on the RedHawks' blue line, blocking 156 shots and finishing +4 on the ice. He also recorded 21 career points on five goals and 16 assists with a career-high four goals and six points this season.
