Miami Closes Out Gladstein Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Miami University women's track and field team continued its campaign at Indiana University's Gladstein Invitational on Saturday.
In the long jump, Caitlyn Redmon finished seventh marking 18-5.25 improving her personal best mark by 8.25 inches.
Arionna Darling threw a personal best 46-10.75 in the shot put to finish in seventh place. Katie Walter marked 43-6.5 for 13th place. Ashley Frahm rounded out the RedHawk effort marking 42-9.5.
Megan Beaver led the way in the 600m, finishing fourth in 1:35.95. Alexis Szivan was 12th, posting a time of 1:37.88. McKenna Kiple rounded out the Miami complement finishing in 1:42 for a new personal best and 19th overall. Allison Klonne took fifth in the 800m, posting a time of 2:16.72 for a season-best time.
Arissa Freeman and Alexus Jimson-Miller retuned to action in the 200m, clocking 26.18 and 26.42 to finish 17th and 18th, respectively. Kalliopi Kountouri finished 22nd with a time of 26.57.
In relay action, the 'A' squad of Laura Bess, Alex Cameron, Alesha Vovk and Kelsey Kohls teamed up to run 9:19.46 in the 4x800m, finishing fifth. The 'B' squad of McKenna Kiple, Allison Klonne, Zuri Davis and Aryelle Player posted a time of 9:19.26 for 10h place. Alexus Jimson-Miller, Arissa Freeman, Kalliopi Kountouri and Kathie Wollney teamed up on the 'A' team for the 4x400m posting a time of 3:53.63 for eighth place. The 'B' squad took 14th in 4:01.71 with Morgan Rice, Megan Beaver, Briah Owens and Alexis Szivan combining their talents.
The Red and White are head to Nashville next weekend for the Vanderbilt Invitational.
