Miami vs. Toledo Feb. 6, 2008 Postgame Notes
- Miami scored 74 points in the game, which is the third time this season Miami has scored 70-plus points and the first time since Dec. 18 against Chicago State. Miami's 76 points are the most points scored this season.
- Miami outrebounded Toledo, 46-22.
- Junior guard Kenny Hayes scored 21 points in the game, which is his third consecutive game with 20-plus points and the fourth time in the past six games that he has scored over 20 points.
- Kenny Hayes and senior forward Tim Pollitz scored 21 and 20 points, respectively, marking the first time since Feb. 24, 2007 against Buffalo that two Miami players scored 20 or more points in the same game. Nathan Peavy scored 24 points and Tim Pollitz scored 22 points against the Bulls.
- Miami outscored Toledo 46-12 in points in the paint. Miami's 46 points in the paint are the most scored in a game this season.
- Tim Pollitz finished with 20 points, his sixth 20-plus point game of the season and the 19th of his career. Pollitz also finished with 11 rebounds, marking his fourth double-double of the season and the eighth of his career.
- Freshman forward Nick Winbush set a season-high with 10 points. Junior center Tyler Dierkers tied a career-high with nine rebounds.
- Tim Pollitz and junior guard Eric Pollitz scored eight of Miami's opening 10 points of the second half, which gave Miami its biggest lead of the game to that point, 46-25.
- Kenny Hayes and Tim Pollitz scored 13 points and 12 points, respectively, in the first half and led the RedHawks into halftime with a 36-22 advantage. The RedHawks shot 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from the floor in the first half, while Toledo shot 37.5 percent (9-of-24).
- Miami outscored Toledo 20-6 in points in the paint and outrebounded the Rockets 20-8 in the first half.
- After Toledo scored the first basket of the game at the 17:55 mark of the first half, Miami went on a 20-6 spurt to take a 20-8 lead with 9:39 remaining in the half. Hayes scored 10 points during the run, including shooting a perfect 2-of-2 from behind-the-arc.
