LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Miami field hockey team dropped its 14th decision of the season this afternoon on the road as Louisville collected the home victory, 4-0. Louisville goalie Christy Hershey shut out the RedHawks without recording a single save.

Two Cardinals scored in the first half, and two more goals in the second half clinched the victory for the home team. Louisville was determined to play well after the RedHawks gave it a scare when forcing the game to overtime in Oxford, Ohio on Oct. 3.

Freshman Kerri Matthews (Egg Harbor Twp., N.J.), who entered the contest leading the nation in saves, made 12 stops in the loss. Leading the team with three shots, its only shots in the contest, was senior Angie Snedden (Sarnia, Ontario).

The RedHawks next competition is next weekend, Oct. 31-Nov. 1, when they host Kent State and Ohio for a Mid-American Conference weekend set. The Red and White is 1-14 overall this season and 0-8 in league play entering the final week of the regular season.
