MUNCIE, Ind. - The Miami field hockey team dropped a 7-0 decision this afternoon at Ball State. BSU's Chantelle Isaac scored four goals in the game to improve the Cardinal's record to 4-2 in the Mid-American Conference, while the Red and White fall to 1-11 overall and 0-6 in the league.
Ball State utilized five first-period goals to jump out to a 5-0 lead. Isaac scored twice, as did Lindsay Quay, and Afton Hess netted her team-leading 12th goal of the season to give BSU its lead.
Isaac scored two more times in the second half to finish off the Cardinal's 7-0 victory.
The RedHawks managed to fire three shots on goal, while BSU held the shooting edge, 14-3.
Miami plays its next game this Sunday, Oct. 19, at Central Michigan. The opening passback is set for 12 p.m. start.
