Biography
2007-08: Indoors, at the Tom Wright Classic she finished first, second, and third in the long jump (5.46m/17-11), 60m hurdles (9.13), and 60m dash (7.96), respectively... had a top five finish at the All-Ohio Championships in the long jump with a jump of 5.31m (17-5¼)... participated on the 4x400-meter relay team that broke the school record... outdoors, earned MAC Track Athlete of the Week (April 7, 2008) for performances during the Duke Invitation, running a 1:01.39 in the 400m hurdles (finishing second) and helping the 4x400 relay team to a fourth-place finish... won first place in the 400m hurdles at the Southern Ohio Cup, Miami Team Challenge, and All Ohio Championships (set personal best of 1:00.86)... at the MAC Outdoor Championships she earned a top 5 finish, running 1:02.44 in the hurdles.
2006-07: NCAA MidEast Regional Qualifier... indoors, competed in the 60-meter hurdles and long jump... registered season-best time in the hurdles (8.93) at the Findlay Classic... sailed to season-best distance in the long jump (18-7) at the MAC Championships, where she finished fifth... ran on the 4x400 meter relay team, which placed sixth at the conference meet... outdoors, was one of three Miami regional qualifiers in the 400-meter hurdles... at the regional meet, placed 21st (1:03.21) in the preliminaries... finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles at MAC Championships with career-best and regional-qualifying time of 1:00.11... her time ranks third in program history in the event... sailed to career-best distance in the long jump (18-11 1/4) at the Stan Lyons Invitational... at the conference meet, placed 13th (17-9 3/4) in the preliminaries of the high jump... ran on the 4x400 meter relay team, which finished fifth at the conference meet... won the 400-meter hurdles at the All-Ohio Championships and Miami Invitational.
2005-06: During the indoor season, tallied three wins in the 60-meter hurdles at the Findlay Open, Eastern Illinois Invitational and All-Ohio Championships... added a victory in the 55-meter hurdles at the Cedarville Open... clocked in with season-best time in the 60-meter hurdles (8.64) at the All-Ohio... also competed in the 200 meters, long jump and pentathlon indoors... posted a score of 2,819 in first career pentathlon at Ball State... ran top 200-meter time (27.14) and posted top long jump (18-4 1/4) at the Cedarville Open... at the MAC Indoor Championships, placed 12th in the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries and 16th in the long jump... outdoors, notched one win in the 400-meter hurdles at the Miami Invitational... posted season-best times in the 100-meter (14.44) and 400-meter hurdles (1:02.34) at the Miami Invitational... at the MAC Outdoor Championships, placed 11th and 14th, respectively, in the preliminaries of the 100- and 400-meter hurdles.
High School: One of Ohio[apos]s most talented hurdler/jumpers... at the 2004 Ohio State Championships, placed fourth in the 100 hurdles (14.42), fourth in the long jump (18-2 1/2) and sixth in the 300 hurdles (44.01)... during the 2005 indoor season, finished third at the Ohio State High School Coaches Championship with a personal-best of 8.35 seconds for the 55-meter hurdles... outdoors, she became the Ohio State High School Champion in the 300 hurdles with a time of 42.78... finished runner-up in the 100 hurdles (14.44) while also finishing fifth in the long jump with a personal-best of 18-3... regional champion in four events (long jump, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 4x400 relay) during 2005... won the 300 hurdles at the Midwest Championships, a meet which brings together the best seniors in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana... completed her senior year by qualifying for the Nike National High School Championships in both the 100 and 400 hurdles.
Personal: Daughter of Alex and Jennifer Lape... majoring in speech pathology and audiology.
