Lindsay Hieronymus joined Miami women's basketball in April, 2022.
"I am so excited to join the women's basketball coaching staff at Miami University,” said Hieronymus. “I want to thank Coach Hendrix and her staff for welcoming me with open arms. The culture that has been built around this program is special, and I can't wait to be a part of it."
Prior to joining the RedHawks, Hieronymus served as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Eastern Kentucky women’s basketball program for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons and served as an assistant coach in the spring of 2021. Hieronymus joined the Eastern Kentucky women's basketball program as the director of player development in the summer of 2019.
During her time at EKU, Hieronymus had various responsibilities, including general management and assistance with women's basketball daily operations, organization and coordination of daily schedule, coordination of team travel and meals, co-director of 2019 Elite Camp, assistance with practice and game planning, statistical tracking of practice and games, assist in official and unofficial visits, and creation of digital content for social media and recruiting. In 2021 she was also the director of EKU’s Elite Camp and assisted with opponent scouting reports.
She was also the liaison to other branches of the department such including academics, branding and marketing, fundraising, facilities and scheduling.
“A go-getter is the best way to describe who Lindsay is and how she does things,” said Hendrix. “She has been a part of staffs at different levels, in different capacities. She truly understands not being above any task that could ultimately better our program. Her work ethic coupled with a deep care for those around her, make her an up-and-coming coach that we’re proud to add to the RedHawk family.”
At Averett, she helped lead the team to back-to-back 18 win seasons as an assistant coach, tying the program record for wins in a season. Hieronymus helped lead the 2018-19 team to its first USA South Conference East Division Championship in program history. She coached two Academic All-Americans, two all-region players and four all-conference players.
Other responsibilities at Averett included opponent scouting, recruiting, skill development, designing and executing five elite camps, film breakdown and statistical analysis. She spent two summers working as an instructor for Point Guard College, developing basketball IQ and leadership development.
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Hieronymus was a four-year member of the women's basketball team at Transylvania University, where she helped the program win three conference regular season championships and one conference tournament title while making two NCAA Tournament appearances. A captain and starter during her senior campaign, Hieronymus twice earned academic all-conference honors from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and was on the league's all-sportsmanship team her senior year. She also received Transylvania's Female Senior Leadership Award in 2016.
Hieronymus worked at the Sayre School during the 2016-2017 academic year, where she was the varsity girls’ basketball assistant coach and helped guide the team to the region championship and an appearance in the state tournament while compiling a 19-7 overall record. In addition, she served as an assistant middle school volleyball coach and an assistant high school/middle school lacrosse coach.
Hieronymus graduated from Transylvania with a bachelor's degree in biology in 2016. She completed her masters of business administration with a concentration in leadership from Averett University in 2019.
