
Wierzba Named Evansville Women's Basketball Head Coach

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Ben Wierzba, who spent the past three seasons of the Associate Head Coach of Miami Women's Basketball, has been named the 12th head coach in Evansville Women's Basketball program history.
In three seasons in Oxford, Wierzba helped the RedHawks to a record of 56-39, including a 33-21 mark in MAC play. In 2024-25, Wierzba helped guide Miami to a 10-win improvement and an appearance in the WNIT. This past season, the RedHawks were one of the top mid-major teams in the country, finishing with a record of 28-7 overall and a 16-2 record in the MAC. Miami captured both the regular season and tournament championship and competed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.
