HIGH SCHOOL: Named to AP's Kentucky's first-team all-state squad ... the Highlands High School standout was named a second-team All-American by MaxPreps ... Coach Dale Mueller's Bluebirds won three state 5A football championship with consecutive records of 15-0 (2007), 14-1 (2008) and 15-0 (2009) ... Grubbs' senior squad ranked third, nationally, compiling 3,865 yards rushing and more than 6,000 total yards while scored 597 points ... also started at center for Highlands' basketball team.

PERSONAL: Born October 10, 1991 in Cincinnati ... son of Jay and Karla Grubbs ... a marketing major at Miami ... he's also considering a coaching career.
