SCOUTING REPORT: Emerged from 2011 spring drills as one of Ryan Kennedy's top back-ups at middle linebacker ... he picked up Miami's new defensive scheme and terminology pretty well; now he needs to go out and let it flow.

2011: Appeared in all 12 games, making his Miami debut against Missouri in the season opener (Sept. 3) ... recorded 12 total tackles.

2010: Did not play.

2009: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Alter High School compiled a 43-3 overall record and won the 2008 state championship ... he tore his ACL in the first game of his senior season ... twin brother Austin--now his Miami teammate--wore Collin's No. 9 jersey during their senior campaign ... recorded 79 tackles as a junior and averaged 15 points per game for Alter's basketball team ... a two-time hoops captain.
