SCOUTING REPORT: The team's top specialty teams snapper, Coach Treadwell gave him a scholarship for the 2011 season ... a high character person who loves the game and representing Miami ... the oldest of the specialists, he never get rattled in pressure-packed situations.

2010: Played in all 14 games, earning his first varsity letter ... perfect snaps helped Miami placekickers successfully convert 18-of-27 field goals and 32-of-35 extra points ... also was the long snapper for punter Zac Murphy ... he recorded one tackle (vs. Colorado State).

2009: Earned a spot on some travel teams, but did not play in any games.

2008: Did not play.

HIGH SCHOOL: He was a two-year football letter winner for Lima's Shawnee High School ... captained the Indians as a senior ... prep coach was Dick West.

PERSONAL: Born December 6, 1988 ... son of Paul and Betsy Griffo ... mom attended Miami as an undergraduate ... brother (Jon) was a collegiate athlete at Ohio Northern University ... majoring in history.
