2012-13: Cross Country -- Competed in all six meets for the RedHawks, scoring in three of them...was Miami's fifth and final scorer at the MAC Championship in 22:22.8...was Miami's fourth scorer at the Great Lakes Regional, taking 73rd overall in a 6K season-best 21:54...finished third for Miami and 38th overall at the Spartan Invitational in 22:25...was Miami's eighth finisher at the Dayton Flyer 5K in 19:08.0...earned a season-best 5K time at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational in 18:30, finishing seventh for Miami and 43rd overall...Just missed scoring for Miami at Pre-Nationals, taking sixth for the team and 164th overall in 22:06.8.
Track and Field -- Competed in the 1500m, 3000m, and 5000m during her freshman indoor and outdoor track and field seasons...ran a season-high 17:41.63 5000m at the GVSU Big Meet...took fourth in the 5000m at the All-Ohio Championships, finishing the race in 17:43.38...earned a second season-best 10:13.35 in the 3000m at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite...ran a season-high 4:46.62 in the 1500m at the Miami Invitational.
High School: Earned four varsity letters in track at North Central High School and three in cross country under coach Angee Grogan ... twice named a team captain for cross country and once for the track team ... her personal best in the 1600m was 5:04 ... ran the 3200m in 10:36 and had a personal-best 18:09 in the 5K for cross country ... three-time all-state in track and all-state in cross country as a senior ... placed second in the 3200m at the 2012 IHSAA state meet ... took 11th at the IHSAA cross country meet as a senior ... was an academic all-state honoree her final three years in both cross country and track.
Personal: Born January 3, 1994 in Indianapolis ... daughter of Karen and Randy Poulsen ... enjoys reading and photography ... an economics major.
