2008-09: Has performed fantastically through December of 2008, setting two individual RedHawk records and swimming on four record-setting relay units, all at the `08 Miami Invitational ... she set school marks in both the 50-yard freestyle (:22.87) and the 100 free (:49.57). Her 100 time is an NCAA 'B' standard qualifying time ... she anchored the record-setting 200 medley relay team (1:41.35), led off the all-time best 200 (1:32.71) and 400 (3:22.74) freestyle relay units, and swam the third leg on the 800 freestyle relay team (7:17.42). Altogether, she has recorded eight individual victories in `08-09 and eight relay wins. 2007-08: At the MAC Championships, her 200 medley relay team placed second, the 200 free relay unit finished fifth, and the 400 free relay placed fourth ... individually at the MACs, she placed third in the 100 freestyle, 10th in the 50 freestyle and 10th in the 100 backstyle races. 2006-07: At the MAC Championships, notched three individual scoring finishes, including an eighth-place and 'A' final performance in the 200 backstroke (2:08.19) ... registered a 'B' final finish in the 50 freestyle with a 10th-place time (24.13) ... added a 'B' final finish in the 100 backstroke with a 10th-place time (58.61) ... at the conference meet, swam a leg on Miami[apos]s third-place 200 freestyle relay team (1:34.47) ... her prelim time in the 200 backstroke (2:05.22) at the MAC meet was a career-best performance. 2005-06: Competed in the sprint freestyle and backstroke events ... swam in 11 meets ... clocked in with three season-best times at the MAC Championships in the 50 free (23.84), 100 free (53.05) and 100 back (58.39) ... top finish of the season was a third-place showing in the 50 free against Ball State ... also added three other fourth-place finishes on the season. High School: Three-time state qualifier ... highest finish came in the 50 free and 100 back where she finished third ... was a YMCA 2005 National Champion in the 200 medley relay ... member of the Cincinnati All-City Team ... swam top times in the 50 free (24.25), 100 free (52.78) and 100 back (59.23) ... four-year letterwinner and team captain as a senior ... also lettered in golf (two years). Personal: As a youngster, she was on a famous jumprope team that performed on the David Letterman Show and at the Macy[apos]s Day parade ... daughter of Nancy and Ross Schmidt ... her brother was a Miami graduate ... majors in sports studies ... plans to attend medical message school.
