2010: One of the MAC's top defensive players, he recorded a team-best 101 tackles ... he was one of 44 players nationwide who had 15 or more tackles for loss (15 for -50)... he had at least a half of a TFL in 12 of the team's 14 games ... the middle linebacker had a team-high nine stops and three quarterback hurries in Miami's MAC title victory over Northern Illinois ... in the GoDaddy.com Bowl, he had 13 stops, his most in 2010 ... he had the single-biggest defensive play of the game against Central Michigan, stripping the ball from a Chippewa runner as he was about to tumble into the endzone, saving a certain six points ... he returned an interception 28 yards vs. Ohio ... he had 12 tackles and 2.5 TFLs in the RedHawks' win at Buffalo and 11 stops in a victory over Eastern Michigan.
2009: Led the team in total tackles (114), assisted tackles (68), tackles for loss (18 for minus 101 yards), quarterback sacks (5.5 for 54 yards) and forced fumbles (3) ... led all MAC players in TFLs ... recorded a game- and season-high 15 tackles in the season opener vs. Kentucky, also notching a TFL, a forced fumble, a QB hurry and a pass break-up ... his best overall effort came in Miami's victory over Toledo, a game in which he recorded 12 tackles, four TFLs (including three QB sacks), two forced fumbles and two QB hurries ... also had 13 tackles and 2.5 TFLs vs. Bowling Green and 11 stops with 1.5 TFLs at Western Michigan ... he had an interception, nine tackles and 2.5 TFLs at Ohio.
