Field Hockey Announces 2026 Schedule

OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team has announced its 2026 schedule. Miami, who is coming off an appearance in the Elite-8 this past season, will square off with six Power-4 teams and host the Mid-American Conference Tournament in early November.
"It's a great opportunity to represent Miami against some of the best competition in the country," said senior Kylie Coughlin. "Our program has been built on a culture of competing at the highest level, and I think this schedule reflects exactly who we are. We believe we're one of the top teams in the nation, and this is the kind of schedule that challenges us to prove it. This is the schedule of a championship-caliber team, and we're excited to showcase Miami Field Hockey's culture, style of play, and competitive spirit every time we step on the field."
Miami opens the regular season with a trip to Louisville, Ky., for a pair of contests versus Louisville (Aug. 28) and Indiana (Aug. 29) before returning home to face Michigan State on Sept. 4.
The RedHawks will also travel to face Iowa (Sept. 11), Northwestern (Sept. 13), Liberty (Sept. 19) and New Hampshire (Oct. 4) in non-conference action. After hosting the Spartans in early September, the RedHawks wrap up non-conference home action versus Michigan on Oct. 25.
"We've been preparing ever since our last game, and this schedule gives us the opportunity to compete against some outstanding teams," said junior Sloane Wearren. "Our team is eager to build on the culture we've created, see all of our hard work come together, and make the most of every opportunity this season."
Miami begins Mid-American Conference play on the road at Longwood (Sept. 17). Other road MAC contests include: Massachusetts (Oct. 2), Bellarmine (Oct. 16), Ball State (Oct. 18) and Central Michigan (Oct. 30).
The first of four home MAC contests begin Sept. 25 versus James Madison and include Appalachian State (Sept. 27), Ohio (Oct.9) and Kent State (Oct. 23). Miami will also host the conference tournament from Nov. 4-7.
