Intzes Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio– Miami's Justina Intzes was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 21 after scoring three of the RedHawks' six goals in wins over James Madison and Appalachian State. Her goals included the game-winner over the Dukes and an insurance goal in a tight contest against the Mountaineers. She also was part of a press that let up just three shots all weekend and did not allow any penalty corner opportunities to opponents.
The sophomore striker's performance led Miami to stay perfect in MAC play and move up to No. 14 in the national rankings. She has now scored five goals this season, which puts her in the top 10 scorers in the MAC.
Intzes and the RedHawks will return to the field this Friday for a key road matchup against the No. 3 UMass Minutewomen. First touch is slated for 2 p.m.
