
Thibodeau Named to U.S. Hockey U-18 Men's Select Team Coaching Staff

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— USA Hockey announced its coaching staff for next month's Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Edmonton, Alberta today. Miami University's Troy Thibodeau will serve as an assistant coach under Reid Cashman on the U.S. Under-18 Men's Select Team coaching staff. Team USA's selection camp takes place July 23-27 in St. Paul, Minn., with the tournament scheduled for Aug. 3-8 in Edmonton.
USA Hockey looks to defend its 2025 championship this year against seven other nations: Canada, Czechia, Finland, Germany, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland. Games will be played at Rogers Place and Downtown Community Arena.
"I am extremely honored and grateful to represent Team USA at the upcoming Hlinka Gretzky Cup," said Thibodeau. "To be able to work alongside this incredible staff with some of the most talented under-18 hockey players in the country is an opportunity of a lifetime."
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Troy to serve USA Hockey at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup," Miami head coach Anthony Noreen added. "It is something that he has earned, and we are excited for him to work alongside a great coaching staff and the top young players in our country."
