Miami Hockey Announces Addition of Matouš Kucharcík

OXFORD, Ohio— Miami Hockey head coach Anthony Noreen announced today that Matouš Kucharcík will join the RedHawks' program ahead of the 2026-27 season. Kucharcík, a forward from Prague, Czechia, spent last season with Youngstown in the USHL.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres (No. 103 overall)
Represented Czechia at the 2025 IIHF U18 Men's World Championship
Won silver medal at 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup
Produced 16 points (9-7-16) in 35 games for Youngstown Phantoms during Anderson Cup-winning season in 2025-26
Added a goal and an assist in four playoff appearances for Youngstown
Played multiple seasons for HC Slavia Praha program before coming to USHL
Racked up 56 points (30-26-56) in 33 games for HC Slavia Praha U17 in 2023-24
