OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University softball team (36-16, 17-8 MAC) took on Bowling Green State University (20-27, 6-18 MAC) on Friday afternoon, taking the first game of the weekend series, 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The RedHawks got on the board with the first Miami at-bat in the game with a home run from Bailey Manos.
- BGSU tied it up in the fourth with an RBI single to left field.
- Miami took the lead to win it 2-1 in the sixth with an RBI double from Katy Olive.
NOTES
- Danitza Hernandez went 1-for-2 at the plate.
- Presley Hosick pitched a complete game, allowing only one run and four hits while striking out five.
