OXFORD, Ohio – In the first game of the mid-week series on Tuesday afternoon, the Miami University RedHawks fell to the Ohio University Bobcats, 5-3.

UP NEXT: The RedHawks play Ohio University again tomorrow, April 8, in a doubleheader that is scheduled for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Getting on the board 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Ella Carter flew out and allowed Mckenna Campbell to score.
- Putting the RedHawks ahead by two runs, Kari Krueger hit a home run in the fourth.
- On the top of the seventh, the Bobcats got on the board 5-2, with a double that allowed two runners into home. Another double then allowed another runner to score. Bringing in their fourth run, another double to left field allowed a runner to run in from second. Ohio added a fifth run via a single.
- Making the final score 5-3 at the end of the seventh, Bailey Manos scored off a double hit by Evey Dieudonne.
NOTES
- Kari Krueger went 1-for-3 at the plate and hit a home run.
