Miami Men's Basketball
In front of a capacity crowd and the largest television viewership for a NCAA First Four game ever, Miami Men's Basketball took down SMU to win the program's first NCAA Tournament game since 1999. The 11th-seeded RedHawks played a magnificent game en route to an 89-79 triumph last Wednesday in Dayton, Ohio. Miami's magical and historic season came to an end last Friday with a loss to No. 6 seed Tennessee in Philadelphia, Pa. After going undefeated during the regular season and capturing the MAC regular-season title, the RedHawks finished with a 32-2 mark, smashing a program record for wins. Head coach Travis Steele as named a semifinalist for the Naismith Coach of the Year and was tabbed NABC East District Coach of the Year. Peter Suder earned NABC East District First-Team honors, while Brant Byers earned second-team laurels. Miami Women's Basketball
After securing the MAC regular-season and tournament titles and making their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2008, Miami Women's Basketball had their historic season come to a close last Saturday as the 13th-seeded RedHawks dropped a decision in front of a capacity crowd at No. 4 seed West Virginia last Saturday. The RedHawks finished with a 28-7 mark, breaking the program record for wins. Head coach Glenn Box inked a contract extension through 2032. Miami Swimming & Diving's Chrisna Bezuidenhout posted a time of 1:53.80 in the 200-yard backstroke to set a school record during 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships last Saturday, finishing 29th among the field. Elijah Rolfsen will compete at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday in the 1650 Freestyle.
Miami Softball travels to Marshall for a Tuesday non-conference game before hosting Kent State in a three-game series this weekend with a Friday game at 3 p.m. and a Saturday doubleheader at 1 p.m. The RedHawks went 1-2 at Akron over the weekend.
Miami Baseball heads to Kent State for a three-game series this weekend after a non-conference game at Dayton on Tuesday. The RedHawks topped Dayton last Wednesday in non-conference action and dropped three games at Northern Illinois over the weekend.
Miami Golf hosts the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate March 23-25 and has individuals competing in the Keene Trace Collegiate March 24.
Miami Tennis picked up a 4-3 win against Bowling Green on Sunday after being nipped 4-3 by UMass on Friday. The RedHawks travel to Buffalo for a match on Sunday.
Miami Track & Field had a strong showing at the Blizzard Buster that it hosted last Friday with both the men and women capturing first-place team finishes. Kate Hallie notched the second-best discus throw in Miami's program history (50.29m) for the win.
