Sohosky Named MAC Pitcher of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio– Miami's Zac Sohosky was named the MAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 9 after throwing 10 strikeouts in a shutout seven-inning performance against Bowling Green this Friday. Throughout his seven innings, Sohosky held 24 batters to just two hits and one walk. His dominance spurred the RedHawks to their fourth MAC win of the season, which later became their 12th-consecutive MAC series win.
Friday marked Sohosky's fifth appearance in a RedHawk uniform and second time recording a win. In his five starts, he has allowed just seven earned runs in a team-high 23.2 innings pitched. He and Clayton Burke lead the RedHawks' bullpen with 25 and 26 season strikeouts, respectively.
Sohosky and the RedHawks will return to McKie Field this Wednesday at 3 p.m. for a stand-alone game against Dayton.
