HOW IT HAPPENED
- 11:14 3rd (Arizona State 1-0) | The game remained scoreless midway into the third period after an apparent Miami goal in the opening stanza was overturned via video review. Michael Quinn's long shot from the blue line was disallowed when the ensuing review determined the puck had previously been out of play for a missed stoppage. The Sun Devils eventually went on top 1-0 with 8:46 remaining in the game, as ASU's Samuel Alfano drove toward the net and Logan Morrell tipped the puck across for Noah Powell to finish.
NOTES
- Drobac stopped 37 of 38 shots Friday and 25 of 26 Saturday for a series save percentage of .969.
- The Red and White out-shot the Sun Devils 37-26 Saturday night, matching Miami's second-highest shot total of the season; Doug Grimes and Ilia Morozov each had a game-high five shots on goal.
- Miami was 2-for-2 on the penalty kill (including a major) and has now killed 14 consecutive penalties; the RedHawks have not allowed a power-play goal in their last four games, the team's longest such streak since November 2024.
- The RedHawks blocked 17 shots, with 11 Miami players registering at least one block, led by three from David Deputy.
