HOW IT HAPPENED
- 9:59 1st (Miami 1-0) | The RedHawks grabbed the lead at the midway point of the first period when Emmons stole the puck in the offensive zone and finished off an unassisted highlight-reel goal to make it 1-0.
- 5:25 2nd (Miami 2-0) | Miami doubled its advantage in the middle stanza on a Smith one-timer from Maximilion Helgeson just four seconds after a RedHawk power play expired. Helgeson initially received the puck behind the SCSU net from Matteo Giampa, who picked up the second assist.
- 16:06 2nd (Miami 3-0) | The Red and White made it 3-0 later in the second period, as Helgeson snatched the puck in Miami's defensive zone and threaded a perfect pass ahead to spring Deputy on a breakaway. Deputy scored past SCSU's Yan Shostak to give the RedHawks a 3-0 cushion.
- 11:41 3rd (St. Cloud State 3-1) | The Huskies got on the board with a power-play tally in the third period. Smolinski fired in a one-timer from the circle to Drobac's right, converting off feeds from Austin Burnevik and Josh Zinger.
