D1Softball Ranks Campbell 74th-Best Mid-Major Player

D1Softball.com – On Monday, Jan. 19, D1Softball.com listed Mckenna Campbell as its 74th ranked mid-major player in the nation. She was one of three Mid-American Conference student-athletes on the list.
Last season Campbell started all 62 contests at catcher for the RedHawks. She posted career-highs in batting average (.341), slugging percentage (.503), home runs (6) and RBI (33). She was also nearly perfect from behind the plate, finishing the season with a .992 field percentage (three errors in 335 attempts). She also threw out 29% of base runners and allowed just 34 stolen bases all season long.
Campbell earned second-team All-MAC accolades in 2025. She had a career-high four RBI in a win at Bowling Green and three days later added another four RBI in a win at Buffalo. She posted two hits versus North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament and added a home run versus Ohio in the MAC Championship title game.
Campbell and the RedHawks open the season versus Kentucky in San Diego, Calif. On Feb. 6.
