Meet the 2025-26 Miami Hockey Team: Michael Phelan

OXFORD, Ohio— With the Miami Hockey season set to begin on Friday, Oct. 3 against Ferris State at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena, second-year head coach Anthony Noreen's program will have quite a few new faces in 2025-26.
Michael Phelan, a defenseman from Hinsdale, Ill., will join the RedHawks this year. He spent last season in the USHL with the Waterloo Black Hawks.

- Produced 21 points (5-16-21) during his career with Waterloo, adding two assists in this year's playoff run
- Made 106 appearances for Waterloo over past two seasons and served as team's assistant captain in 2024-25
- Won a 15U national championship with Chicago Mission in 2022
