
Meet the 2025-26 Miami Hockey Team: Ethan Hay

OXFORD, Ohio— With the Miami Hockey season set to begin on Friday, Oct. 3 against Ferris State at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena, second-year head coach Anthony Noreen's program will have quite a few new faces in 2025-26.
Ethan Hay, a forward from Waterloo, Ontario, will join the RedHawks this year. He spent last season in the OHL, first with the Saginaw Spirit and then moving to the Kingston Frontenacs.

PRIOR TO MIAMI
- Drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft (No. 211 overall)
- Played 62 OHL games last season between Saginaw and Kingston, putting up 31 total points (13-18-31)
- Was a finalist for OHL's Best Defensive Forward recognition in 2024-25 season
- Served as captain during his time in Saginaw in the 2024-25 campaign
- Won Memorial Cup championship with Saginaw in 2023-24
- Played for Flint Firebirds (OHL) from 2021-2023 and was assistant captain to begin 2023-24 season
- Tied Flint record for most short-handed goals in a season
- Produced 102 points (50-52-102) across 252 career regular-season OHL appearances
