Meet the 2025-26 Miami Hockey Team: David Deputy

OXFORD, Ohio— With the Miami Hockey season set to begin on Friday, Oct. 3 against Ferris State at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena, second-year head coach Anthony Noreen's program will have quite a few new faces in 2025-26.

David Deputy, a forward from Gurnee, Ill., will join the RedHawks this year. He spent last season in the USHL, first with the Omaha Lancers and then winning a Clark Cup with the Muskegon Lumberjacks.

PRIOR TO MIAMI

Finished the 2024-25 season with Muskegon, collecting 41 points (14-27-41) in 38 games and adding 14 points in 14 playoff appearances
Led all scorers in the USHL playoffs with 10 goals en route to lifting the Clark Cup
Served as assistant captain for Omaha Lancers to begin 2024-25, where he put up 16 points (7-9-16) in 21 games
Produced 35 points in 54 games for Omaha in 2023-24 (18-17-35)
Spent 2022-23 campaign with NAHL's Philadelphia Rebels, putting up 53 points (23-30-53) in 60 games
Named NAHL East Division Rookie of the Year in 2022-23 and selected to NAHL All-Rookie Team
Attended Warren Township High School
