- Tretter drilled back-to-back three pointers to open the second to knot the game at 24 apiece. With game still tied, 30-30, Chandler knocked in a deep triple and Gonzalez split a pair of defenders for a 35-30 Miami lead. NIU answered with five points in 20 seconds before a Gonzalez put-back and a fast-break triple from Chandler made it 40-35 with two minutes remaining. Miami led 42-38 at the half.
- Tretter's third triple of the game made it 47-40 early in the third and after NIU converted a layup, Chandler scored the game's next five points for a 52-42 RedHawks' lead. The Huskies cut the deficit to seven, 62-55, but Tamar Singer's three pointer made it 65-55 at the end of the third quarter.
- NIU's three-point play made it 68-61 with 8:30 to play, but Tretter answered with a three-point play of her own to regain the double-digit advantage. The Huskies closed the gap to 75-68, but a three-point play from Gonzalez put the RedHawks up 78-68 midway through the final stanza.
