HOW IT HAPPENED
- 8:01 1st (Miami 1-0) | Dukovac opened the scoring midway through the first period, gloving the puck down in front of him to start a breakaway from the neutral zone. He capped off the play with a backhand finish past UMD's Adam Gajan for an unassisted goal to make it 1-0.
- 11:47 1st (UMD 1-1) | Braden Fischer answered back for the home team to even the score at 1-1 less than four minutes later. After Kyle Bettens sent a pass along the wall to Ty Hanson, Hanson fired a long-range shot that Fischer was able to rebound and deposit into the back of the net.
- 13:39 1st (UMD 2-1) | The Bulldogs took their first lead with a power-play goal after a major penalty against the RedHawks. Callum Arnott roofed a close-range shot over Bruveris off feeds from Plante and Aaron Pionk.
- 15:24 3rd (Miami 2-2) | Sullivan made it 2-2 with 4:36 remaining in regulation. A pass along the blue line from Rihards Simanovičs to Zane Demsey created the scoring chance, with Sullivan in perfect position to tip Demsey's shot home for the equalizer.
