RedHawks Welcome IU East to Millett Hall Tuesday Night

TUESDAY NIGHT: Miami takes on Indiana University East on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in a home game at Millett Hall. This contest will count as an exhibition game for the Red Wolves. The Red and White enter this game with a 6-0 record, its best start to a season since the 1995-96 season. The RedHawks rank among the top of the nation in numerous statistical categories, which includes being fifth in the country in effective field goal percentage (62.3%), fifth in free throw percentage (81.1%), ninth in three-point percentage (42.1%), 10th in scoring margin (25.5), 11th in field goal percentage (52.7%) and 14th in scoring offense (93.5).Â
ABOUT IU EAST: IU East is currently 5-3, as the Red Wolves most recently took down Warner (Fla.) 94-70. IU East went 16-13 (10-6 RSC) last year. Head coach Mark Hester is in his 19th season with the Red Wolves. Heading into the 2025-26 season, IU East was selected to finish fourth overall in the 2025-26 RSC Preseason Men's Basketball Coaches' Poll.Â
Three Red Wolves are averaging double figures in scoring; this includes freshman guard Mikey Johnson (14.3/game), freshman guard Cole Henry (13.5/game) and junior guard Caleb Maurer (11.0/game). Henry leads the team in rebounds (6.2/game), while Johnson has recorded the most assists (4.4/game) and steals (1.6/game). Junior forward Tarrell Jewell has blocked the most shots for the Red Wolves (0.9/game).Â
THE SERIES WITH THE RED WOLVES: This Tuesday's home contest against IU East will be the first meeting between the programs.

The RedHawks are looking to snap a Miami record of 23 straight home wins (1996-1998). Last season, the Red and White set a new record of 15 consecutive home wins over the course of one season.
RILEY DECKER SHOWCASE GAME: The Miami University men's basketball team secured an 82-71 comeback win over UNC Greensboro at Adams-Jenkins Complex last Wednesday afternoon in the Riley Decker Showcase Game. Peter Suder totaled a game-high 20 points, while Almar Atlason (18) and Brant Byers (11) added double figures in scoring. Suder also set the tone for the RedHawks with a season-high in rebounds (seven) and steals (four). Suder was named the Riley Decker Showcase Game MVP for his performance.
COLLEGIATE HOOPS ROAD SHOW: The Miami University men's basketball team edged past Mercyhurst 76-71 and rolled to a 111-84 victory over Arkansas - Pine Bluff in the Collegiate Hoops Road Show earlier this season. Almar Atlason, Brant Byers and Antwone Woolfolk were named to the 2025 Collegiate Hoops Roadshow All-Tournament Team, while Ipsaro was recognized as the MVP.
