Delic Named NCHC Rookie of the Month for October

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The NCHC announced its monthly award winners for games played in October today, and Miami freshman forward Kocha Delic was named NCHC Rookie of the Month.
Delic, who was previously named the conference's Rookie of the Week for the week of Oct. 6-12, finished October with 10 points (5-5-10) and put up at least one point in each of Miami's seven games that month. He tallied the game-winner on Oct. 4 vs. Ferris State and lit the lamp twice the next time out at RPI (Oct. 10) as part of his run of four consecutive games with at least one goal. Delic led Miami with 25 shots on goal in October and went +5 in the month as the RedHawks jumped out to their best start to a season since 2007. Delic became the first Miami player since 2010 to start a season with a seven-game point streak and the first RedHawk in the past 25 seasons to start his Miami career with a seven-game point streak.
No. 20 Miami is off this weekend and returns to action Friday, Nov. 14 at defending national champion Western Michigan.
